Arjay Audio Tools started as a simple side project: a tool to automatically split a long MP3 audiobook into labelled chapters. It turned out that was a problem many people faced, and the project quickly grew into a full platform.

Do I need to create an account?
You can try our MP3 Splitter and Audio Transcriber free for up to 1 hour of audio. Creating a free account unlocks full access, job history, and the ability to purchase additional processing credits.
What is BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)?
BYOK lets you supply your own OpenAI API key. When you do, processing costs are billed directly to your OpenAI account and you receive up to 30 hours of free usage on our platform — no credits required.
How are credits priced?
1 credit equals $1.00 USD. Credits are consumed based on the duration and complexity of each job. You can purchase credits at any time from the Payments page.
What audio formats are supported?
Our MP3 Splitter and Audio Transcriber accept most common audio formats including MP3, M4A, M4B, WAV, and OGG. The Narrator tool accepts PDF, DOCX, and plain-text (TXT) documents.
How accurate is the AI chapter detection?
Chapter detection is powered by OpenAI's Whisper (for transcription) and GPT models (for chapter boundary identification). Accuracy is typically very high for audiobooks with clear chapter announcements. You can fine-tune results by adjusting the minimum chapter duration setting.
Are my files stored permanently?
Your uploaded audio and output files are stored temporarily in secure cloud storage. Download links expire after a short window (typically 1 hour). We do not permanently store your audio content beyond what is needed to complete and deliver your job.
Can I use the API programmatically?
